Swiss Diamond Cookware

cookware by Swiss Diamond®. Non-stick cookware has come 
a long way since Teflon® was discovered in 1941 by a 
Dupont® researcher. The latest in non-stick coatings is 
nano-based technology introduced in 2000 by the Swiss 
manufacturer Swiss Diamond® (for which the company received a 
Gold Medal at the Geneva Inventors Fair that same year), 
where an über-hard, abrasion-resistant "diamond dust"  
coating consisting of real diamond crystals was released.   
The Swiss Diamond® "diamond dust" nano-composite coating 
is not layered onto the surface of the pan in the usual 
manner, but is fused to the metal. The result is a 
non-stick finish that is less sensitive to heat and more resistant to peeling and scratching than 
any previous non-stick finish. Moreover, the Swiss Diamond® "diamond dust" nano-composite 
coating has been certified by a highly respected European laboratory (Teknologisk 
Institut) to be free of the harmful component found in earlier PFTE (aka "Teflon") coatings, 
namely Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
